'MANODARPAN' a platform to render psychological assistance to students and teachers

Amid the ongoing lockdown, staying 24×7 indoor has paved the way to many mental illnesses like stress, depression etc, for people of all age groups as this novel situation is new to them. So, the Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitaraman in a press conference announced the initiative taken by the government for reeling the psychological problems on a platform named MANODARPAN.

The platform has been organized to address psychological based dilemmas and to provide support and counselling to students, teachers and families. So, as to foster a transformative impact on the health and education realm, thereby creating a healthy and emotionally stable atmosphere.


Broadly MAODARPAN will constitute of following factors:

  • Advisory guidelines

  • Web page

  • National level database and directory of counsellors.

  • National Toll-free helpline number

  • Nation Interactive Chat Option


 

NROER - AN EDUCATION PLATFORM

The Ministry of Human Resource and development in collaboration with the Department of School Education and Literacy has developed a digital platform known as NROER - National Repository Of Open Educational Resources.

The objective behind this initiative is to facilitate the School and Teacher Education Programmes. The web portal is handled by the Central Institute of Educational Technology, National Council of Educational Research and Training.

The portal operates on the Metastudio protocol, a startup of knowledge Labs, Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education. The portal has a compilation of e-learning materials of NCERT syllabus.



 

PRAGYATA: A Guidelines on digital education

Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank', the Union HRD minister launched PRAGYATA guidelines through a webinar. To mitigate the impact of the pandemic, the 'need of an hour' to Remanage and reformulate the methods of teaching and learning along with delivering quality education through a healthy blend of schooling at home.

To enhance the quality of education these guidelines on online education will act as a roadmap or indicators for carrying forward online education. The Minister notifies that the guidelines are pertinent and helpful for a myriad set of stakeholders like school heads, parents, educators and scholars.

The PRAGYATA instructions consist of 8 steps of online understanding these are :

  • Plan

  • Review

  • Arrange

  • Guide

  • Talk

  • Assign

  • Track

  • Appreciate

These steps ensure security and intellectual interest of the students. It also puts stress on the unification of all such digital learning platforms like DIKSHA, SWAPrabhaabha, SWAYAM MOOCs, shisha vaani, and many more currently working across the nation.


 


AIM: Training Session on future Drones

AIM is organising a training session on drones which will be guided under the patronage of Engineering Council of India(ECI). The Drone Technology program is a step ahead in improving the employability of technology graduates. With an upgrade in the use of drone technology and its recognition, in civil areas has encouraged the government of India, Directorate general of civil aviation (DGCA) to publish Draft policy strategies regarding drone application in India.l

The vision behind the training programme is to acquaint the flying techniques of Drone in today's youth. The course will be profitable for engineering students who are desirous of seeking additional knowledge in new technology and can explore broader opportunities.


 

'UMANG App Quiz'

To create awareness regarding UMANG services available for the centre and multiple states across the nation, UMANG team with Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has organized a quiz called as "UMANG app expert" Quiz.

The sole vision behind organizing a quiz is to instil the benefits of UMANG amongst people of India, so that they can utilize maximum service, through an interactive learning session.

The quiz will consist of multiple-choice once question (MCQ) based on the various services provided by the UMANG team. These questions will reinforce people to learn more about their services. Through this thrilling and interactive quiz, they will not only learn about services but also the participants will be rewarded with e- certificate of participation.
