For the people of Giridih, xlr8rs- Your own tech basta had organised the "Mere sheher Hackathon" in the month of June. The vision behind the HACKATHON was to discover solutions regarding the various problems faced by the people of our city Giridih amid this covid-19 pandemic. To a great extent, the youth from Giridih had actively participated in this Hackathon and shared their ingenious ideas with xlr8rs. Members at xlr8rs find it really difficult to select the best and the most effective solution. But finally after grappling with the creative ideas, xlr8rs had announced the names of the "Giridih Heroes" - 'Kajal Singh' and 'Siddharth Singh' who had come up with the most effective, innovative and feasible solutions for the problems experienced by the people of Giridih.
Ms. Kajal Singh by profession is a computer teacher at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, who is consistently working in the directions to increase the standards of teaching in our society. Her suggestions will help in moulding our city Giridih into a new shape. The young team members of xlr8rs with the aim to implement her idea, are soon going to launch a free learning app for its people, in Giridih. This learning platform will help the students to enhance their knowledge. The app will enable the students of any school, Board and medium to clarify their queries from the teachers who are registered at the website.
Siddharth Singh is a student who's pursuing B.Tech from Delhi. He had shared with xlr8rs the new economical techniques to make sanitizers. Our team in collaboration with Siddharth will soon come up with a methodology to invent sanitizer from Mahua spirit, which will bring immense pleasure to the lives of our farmers and small businessmen.
Despite these initiatives, members of xlr8rs are working upon some other projects also, which will not only be helpful to ease our daily chores but also, is a moving step ahead to make India self-reliant. Some of these are:-
NearbyU portal : The team of xlr8rs have devised a web portal called NearbyU. On which from a single click you'll be informed about all the list of stores currently available in our city Giridih, with its operational hours, Contact details and moreover the exact location of the particular store. The sole vision behind this functional website is to ease a lay man search of shops thereby, minimizing contact with infection.
WhatsApp Grocery store :- keeping in view the ongoing pandemic, with the help of WhatsApp order for the goods will be received and the essentials will be delivered at your door steps. The xlr8rs will ensure that the goods delivered are sanitized and healthy.
WhatsApp cab booking: The team of xlr8rs are working upon devising a WhatsApp bot named "EXAM EXPRESS", which will be used for booking cabs. Thousands of candidates face difficulties in reaching far placed exam centres, so to avoid this inconvenience students with the help of WhatsApp can book the cab which will easily drop the student to their respective exam centres from home.
The xlr8rs-own tech basta wouldn't have successfully completed this Hackathon without the support, initiatives and love of its people. Also xlr8rs feels immense pleasure to thank our young motivated youth with ingenious minds who volunteered to participate in this Mere-Sheher Hackathon without whom it wouldn't have reached its zenith. The team of xlr8rs hope that in future also our young citizens of Giridih will enthusiastically participate in such Hackathon which strives for the welfare of our city, Giridih.
