Spoken Tutorial is one of the community- based educational content portals, where an individual can learn various Free and Open Source Software all by oneself. Any person with a computer and the urge for learning, can learn anytime via content published on this website. Also the courses have been designed with multi- lingual, online test, etc. facilities.
Though the courses are available simple and intelligible so that beginners could easily access it, but they also meet the growing demands of the learners. The digital content also secures that the learning happens at all stages - Basic, Intermediate and Advance.
Also there are courses which are pertinent at School level, which are designed in a certain manner to ease students to visualise difficult concepts of Math and Science.
Certificates are also issued to those who wish to test their prowess in a particular software. All courses are also available on SWAYAM and are approved by AICTE.
This project has been funded by the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT), while promoted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development (MHRD), Government of India.
NIOS public exam, 2020 scrapped due to the novel COVID-19
The National Institute of Open schooling (NIOS) declares the cancellation of NIOS public exams which was scheduled in July, 2020. Concerning the health and safety of the students exam has been cancelled. The results will be announced based on the assessment prototype finalized by the proficient committee of National Institute of Open Schooling(NIOS). The HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, stated that the learners will be provided with an opportunity to appear in the next public exam/ on demand if they want to improve their performance when the situation will be favourable for the examination to be held.
30% Reduction in CBSE Syllabus for class 9-12th : A One Time Measure
Central board of Secondary Education(CBSE) notifies that 30% of the syllabus of class 9th to 12 will be curtailed. The board clarifies that it has been decided keeping in mind the health and safety of the students amid this pandemic and is a 'one time measure'. The CBSE has also been criticized for dropping the key chapters like democratic rights, Federalism, citizenship and Secularism from school curriculum.
Final year Examination in the Universities will be Conducted by the end of September,2020.
In view of the surging cases of novel coronavirus, All final year university examinations have been postponed to the end of September. The HRD Ministry has declared to put off the schedule of commencement of examination from July to last week of September. The mode of examination can be offline, online or blended mode. Also the students who will be unable to take the exam in the month of September will get another chance. As special exams will be held when the situation will be conducive for examinations.
YUKTI launched by HRD minister
Minister of Human Resource Development, Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' has announced an initiative "YUKTI 2.0" a web portal through webinar. According to this programme different dimensions of COVID-19 challenges in the society will be effectively dealt in a very comprehensive manner. The Ministry of HRD will venture to ascertain that students and learners at higher educational levels are getting apt assistance to advance their technologies and innovations.
'YUKTI 2.0' is a logical extension of 'YUKTI', today's generation with ingenious minds have various creative ideas (from various fields be it student, stakeholders, teachers,etc.) to deal with the problems faced by different sections of society. This is the platform where innovative ideas can be shared with the government and the Ministry ensures that these ideas are being reinforced for the betterment of the nation. This project will also assist in fostering the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in our academic institutions.
A Call for Teachers!! NAT 2020
The Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) has organized the National award for teachers, NAT2020. It's the programme in which teachers have to share their innovative methods regarding how they have been making a difference in the life of students and helping them to bring the best out of them.
